Vadadi is a Swedish one man band (named after it’s sole member
Robert Vadadi), formed in 2007 and driven by a desire to express, explore or achieve certain emotions, and offer something more to dream of.
His self titled debut is cool and different with many suprises.
My personal highlight is Heartbeat.
(available via Bandcamp).

Link to the original zasmagazine.com Blog post (in English)

... my Chinese tells me that this blogpost is a rip-off of an older post.
And even though it makes me feel things ... thx for the post Lovedark.com

The Shadow Project, A Beauty To Fight For.

Link to the original Lovedark.com Blog post (in Chinese)

Call it Shoegaze, Post-Rock or Vadadi
Vadadi is a one man band from Stockholm, Sweden. The one man creating all this sound is Robert Vadadi. Hence the band name. His debut album, also called Vadadi, was released a couple years ago in 2008, however, it looks like he is working on a 2nd album. So, this is a perfect time for you to get familiar with this artist and “catch up” if you will.

I couldn’t find much information on the 2nd album, but if you purchase the first album they’ll put your name into the coming album’s cover. (Pretty cool)

Vadadi is strange. It’s dark, yet as you’ll hear in “Loveless” there’s a glimmer of hope in the chorus. I don’t know if that is what Robert was trying to achieve, but that’s how I perceive it. Also, Vadadi’s bio backs up this concept:

“The world is a dark, gloomy place but underneath it all there is a undeniable, essential beauty keeping things in order and all hope alive. This may not be facts, but listening to Vadadis debut album will inevitably evoke such images. The music within is harsh, raw and epic, but at the same time warm, rich and melodic; a journey of sorts, exploring almost every emotion known to man.”

Is this music that you should listen to if you’re clinically depressed? Maybe not. :) Then again, maybe it will inspire you if you’re depressed. Who knows. I don’t. Do you?

Link to the original IndieShows Blog post (in English)

Link to the original douban.com post: http://www.douban.com/note/72090195/
